The Hen

THE HEN
The chicken is a gallinaceous as is pheasant, turkey, partridge or quail, but large.

As birds are hens have the body covered with feathers which protect them from cold and heat, moisture, sunlight and scratches.
Has a series of bumps on the head and crest barbels.

The chickens have strong legs covered with scales and can be a different color: yellow, white, or blue.
Chickens are omnivorous animals that eat both plants and other animals.
Domestic hens spend most of their time on the ground but are capable of taking small flights. They live about 12 years.
The chickens eat worms, insects, snails, corn, soy, wheat or rice and vegetables. Also eat small stones that help in digestion of food. The hens are good animals and most of the time is happy.
