The Rhinoceros Beetle

The world's strongest animal is the rhinoceros beetle (Oryctes nasicornis).

This insect can withstand a load on your back thirty times its own weight for one hour. It measures about 4.5 inches long, colored black or brown, have a pair of black wings called elytra that cover the yellow and membranous wings that help him fly.

The rhinoceros beetle is so named because it has a horn on his head like a rhinoceros. This horn is used for digging and burrowing rapidly to escape from danger or one of its predators. In addition, males use their horns to fight with his opponent and to attract the female.

The rhinoceros beetles are considered beneficial in nature because they feed on decaying logs and leaves, which facilitates the degradation of this organic matter and consequently there is a rapid transformation of these elements in soil nutrients to fertile .
